This is my last post for 2019 so here’s wishing you all a great Christmas and a Happy New Year and I hope you get the models you bought yourself!
For my Christmas figure I decided to go with this chap – “The Old Fiddler”.
The figure is a 54mm miniature produced by Andrea. It’s a figure I have had my eye on for a while and when I saw it several pounds cheaper at Telford I took the plunge and bought it. I’m not sure it is but in my own mind the figure felt seasonal.
Other than adding some fallen leaves to the base it is just a paint job. Even if I had wanted to do more it would have been difficult to see how to add or attempt to better the original composition. Images below.
Until next year!

Genius! The dog is so the right addition to this scene!

Agreed. The sculptor produced a truly lovely piece of work. There are a couple of others in a little series which I have my eye on too which one day I might get. Have a good Christmas. 😊

He’s playing a lovely Christmas song – pining for the old days and comrades and loves lost, with a faithful hound by his side for companionship. Just beautiful and touching.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Your photography has got better and better mate. Lovely figure and brilliant paint job. His hair is so good it looks real. I kind of feel sorry for him and, in a way, he could have been you. If it wasn’t for your long suffering wife having such a good heart and lowering her standard to let you into her life you’d be fiddling on your own and drunk somewhere hahaha. Just jokes me old matey. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you my friend. I look forward to teasing you more in 2020 👍🏼🤘🏼

I tried the fiddle once but always got a better tune out of my organ! 😉 No need to feel sorry for SWMBO, she’s the lucky one. Your Christmas will come sooner than mine so enjoy the family in the new house and have a great time. Look forward to catching up in the New Year. 🍻

Great model and paint on it as well. I like the effect you’ve gotten on the bottle and will have to steal that one down the line…

As figures go this one is one of my favourites, not sure I can say why but there is just that something about it …

My guess is the oversight was alcohol induced! 😉
