The down time while I waited for things to dry on the buildings for my WW2 diorama “Operation Overlord” gave me the opportunity to finish another Reaper mini, this time “Morrdha” a Vampire Noble.
This was a nice little Reaper mini to do and provided another small opportunity to do some free hand painting on the pages of the book and on the sword. Neither is particularly exciting or overly adventurous but it was fun to do and hopefully added a little more interest.
Little to say about the figure itself, a one piece casting with a nice lot of detail to pick out. Another vampire and another white face making it a little different from typical flesh painting when it comes to shadows and highlights. Painted using acrylics and oils.
Photo’s of the completed model below.

Really cool mate. The detailing on the book and sword is incredible. He reminds me a bit of Lemmy (RIP – Motorhead).

Excellent – I don’t think I’ve ever seen a ginger vampire before! Works really well with the red armour. The illuminated manuscript steals the show for me though.

You need to get out more, there are loads of ginger vampires out there! It’s their natural colouring but you know what Hollywood is like 😉

I like the way the cloak blowing around fits in well with the tree and the base, but then again you’ve planned all of that! The whole piece is very nicely done!

Thanks John but you credit me with more planning on the composition than is deserved! Nice figures from Reaper always help, after that it’s just a case of what looks right.

Lovely work on the freehand book pages, and on the other end of the spectrum I also really like the subtle highlighting on the cloak, particularly the back.

Thanks mate. As you know I like these Reaper figures. They’re a joy to paint and it helps that they have details you can pick out.

Very nice. Love the cloak, both the paints and the shape of it. Works great in your diorama. The freehand is really nicely done and I also really like that armor. Very cool all around!
