Santa Claus Is Comin’ To town

A figure and a post which I thought would be different but help with the festive mood.

First I though I’d start you off with Bruce Springsteen’s version of “Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town” and so you can sing along I have posted the lyrics below.

Secondly, the figure.  This is one from Reaper which I bought last year, never got painted and almost forgot about it this year too.  As luck would have it I stumbled across the little chap while searching for something else and then of course had to stop everything to get him done in time.

  4. Okay having grown up on the other side of the river from Bruce I can say we had a love/hate affair with his music – most hated it. His nickname around my group was Bruce Can’t-sing-steen!
    Speaking of nicknames, noice work on Old St. Nick, who was nicked from the Germanic Barbarians Santa Claus!

  7. Lovely work on Santa, nice miniature that, sorry but I have to say I hate that version of “Santa Claus is coming to town”, though I do like his song “Glory Days”.

    Have a good Christmas mate, I’ll leave you with a joke as you’ve given us so many this year……

    Some celebrities buy a farm and for fun decide to have a competition to see who can breed the biggest sheep…..the Chuckle brothers won it with their “two metre ewe!”. 😁

  9. Just perfect, from the tone of red used down to the understated dusting of snow on his boots. It’s quite unusual on the blogs I read to see just as straightforward Father Christmas mini, usually they’re armed with a rifle or fending off evl snowmen or whatever?

  12. Painting up something festive was a great idea, mate. One of these days, I ought do something like that. Santa came out great and he’ll be a nice one to have in your display case too 🙂
