TIM’s Mid Week Miniature
This weeks mini as an Artizan figure which goes by the title Group Captain Villain and features in their Thrilling Tales range. The model has an uncanny resemblance to Dick Dastardly which made him a must do figure in my book. Crooked Dice also do a Dick Dastardly figure along with Muttley the dog, both are on my shopping list.

Warning Labels
I ordered some new figures the other day and they arrived safe and sound. Although they wont jump to the top of my painting pile just yet I was nevertheless keen to open the package and check that the contents for each were all present and correct. Needless to say included in the packaging was the usual safety disclaimer about containing small parts, that the item wasn’t a toy and it wasn’t suitable for small children as it contained choking parts.
Now in my younger days such disclaimers never existed which got me thinking why that was. I am sure there are several reasons why we didn’t have them but one over riding conclusion came to mind. We weren’t that fucking stupid!

What Do Miniatures Get Up To When Your Back Is Turned?
With the release in the UK of Toy Story 4 I thought this would be a good time to show you what miniatures get up to behind our backs.
This week TIM has been listening to …
… Safety Dance (Dance Mashup), not the original by Men With Out Hats (although I like that too).
Two things I always wanted to be was a great dancer and a pianist. Some where along the line the dream was lost in the womb and instead I was blessed with a great penis. That’s the way the cookie crumbles I guess.
Meanwhile I have to listen to great music and watch others gyrate.

This week TIM has been watching …
… Gran Torino starring Clint Eastwood. Now I must say I am a Clint fan but the guy is getting on in years now. Not only is he looking his age but he has gone soft. How do I know this? A young Clint whatever the moral of the story would have killed all the little fuckers at the end.

Until next time.

Nice Dastardly mate – not convinced about your Dick claims though… 😀

Nice job on the model of DD I do remember him ,I’ll leave the other one alone and yeah I loved the Safety dance original but the video was funny .I don’t know why you had to show what us little folk get up to Dave ,what would happen if the wife came in and saw it !! . And yes I can’t recall ever having eaten or choked on the cellophane wrapped figure in the cereal box when I was a kid and I’m not considered to bright !! .

Great work on Dick, and I am positive that this is the first time in 56 years that I have ever conceived, written, or spoken those 4 words in that order…
Perhaps they have the rest of the Wacky Racers?
Loved the figure and the German recon!
As for the safety issues, both the dance and the warning labels, nice tie in! Still hear Men w/o Hats on the satellite radio on First Wave. Good song. With regards to the warnings, blame that on uber-litigation.
Of course, now we know why SWMBO must be sticking around as apparently you could as a towel rack? 😄

Haha, very good. As to the Wacky Racers, so far only been able to track down DD and Muttley. I have seen a nice set for Scooby Do figures that have taken my fancy though, produced by Hasslefree too.

Great work, I have been keen to pick up that figure and also get into Maximilian 1934 (a sort of Jazz age Mad Max racer type game) for some reason. Luckily I already have enough on my plate so I won’t be able to but it is tempting.

There are some nice figures for that period out there I’m sure but time is on your side. You can always get into it in the future.

We can dance if you want to. Love the mini. I used to be so addicted to Catch the Pigeon. Funnily enough I watched Gran Torino a few days before heading off on my holiday. Keep up the great work mate

Cheers IRO. Currently working on something for the jewel of July which I have a feeling you are going to love but you will have to be patient! 😊

I’m not good at patience but I’ll make an exception

That’s a very cool model of Dick. Though I’m a bit worried where that could lead, given your following minis pic. I’m sure I’ve heard a joke before about a very tiny pianist that your post reminds me of for some reason…
Though to be fair, warnings have been on blisters for at least 30-odd years, so either you missed something, or you’re showing your age…
